Rene Guzman helped lead the Weslaco East Wildcats to multiple district championships over the years. Now he will be taking his leadership and coaching on the gridiron to Edinburg High to take over the head coaching gig.
Guzman was selected by the Edinburg CISD at a recent board meeting to take over the program.
Guzman said its a great opportunity for him and he’s excited to take over the job. Guzman will also take over as athletic coordinator for Edinburg High.
Guzman led the Wesalco Wildcats as its defensive coordinator.
